  • ¾ cup hot water (just below boiling)

  • ½ oz Cinnamon Ginger Syrup (recipe below)

What you'll do: 

  • Make your Cinnamon Ginger syrup, following the recipe below
  • Build in a wine glass over ice, stir gently,
  • Garnish with a pineapple frond or edible flower.

This recipe makes 1 cup of syrup

What you'll need:

  • 1 ounce chunk of fresh ginger, crushed or grated
  • 1-2 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1 cup of water is used less for a thicker syrup

What you'll do:

  • Combine all the ingredients in a small saucepan and heat over low to medium heat.
  • Stir until the sugar is completely dissolved.
  • Reduce the heat and simmer for about 30 minutes.
  • Let the syrup cool and then strain it to remove the ginger and spices.
