I host a lot of potlucks and dinner parties - and when friends come over I like to offer them a drink (guessing I'm not the only one, here). I don't really drink much alcohol, though - and some of my friends don't either. So having a few bottles of Curious show up every month has been a great way to convince my buds I'm not totally insane for turning down a beer (and they also tend to love it once they try it)! Now to just get them to stock their fridges, too...
I tried the No. 2 and have really enjoyed them! I take a bottle with me to gatherings with friends and it has been a great way to participate without actually drinking alcohol. The taste is so, so much better than just drinking juice or soda too - these taste special.
Can’t wait to try No. 1!
My favorite thing about these drinks are they're so flavorful, you have to take your time. This isn't overpriced fruit juice -- this is a beautiful blend of fruit, tart, spice, and flavor. It commands you take your time and enjoy.
No. 1 reminds me of a fruity cocktail with a bloody Mary finish. Sounds weird, I know, but it's so good.
No. 2 is the less sweet end of a pineapple sprinkled in pepper. I can't even tell you how much I love this one as a nightcap instead of wine. It's so satisfying.
At first my thought was, "boozeless cocktails? So, just juice then." But I had to try anyway. This is super impressive. The flavors I'm getting out of this are exactly as it says on the bottle: curious. It's so deep and leaves you more intrigued with every sip. It's not something you can chug, or would even want to, making that bottle look more like a 40oz as opposed to the Little King I harshly judged it as before opening it. It leaves that same lingering taste as alcohol on your breath after drinking as well. It's got a real gin feel to it, but also (maybe just me) reminds me of a red wine. This made me really happy tonight, and I'm excited I have something delicious and curious when I finish a 10 hour shift serving the shaken and slurred. Thank youuu!
I joined, hoping to try a variety of flavors. Particularly, I hoped to try Curious 1, then Curious 2. I even hoped there might be a Curious 3, or an experimental brew to taste.
Instead, it's Curious 1 (which does taste good) every month. And there's no control over the ship date, so it comes while I'm on vacation, so I can't refrigerate my pricey brew.
Three stars because I *do* like Curious 1, and I suspect I would really like Curious 2. I'm confident Curious drinks going forward will be very interesting and tasty. But the "Monthly Variety Pack" is more "Monthly" than "Variety".
