Juniper Berry Spritz

INGREDIENTS

1 oz yuzu or fresh lemon juice
1oz juniper berry simple syrup
1 oz orange blossom water
2 slices fresh orange

For juniper berry syrup:

1 Tablespoon whole juniper berries, crushed
1 cup sugar
1 cup water

DIRECTIONS

To make juniper berry syrup:

Combine juniper berries, sugar and water into a small pot. Bring to a boil and let simmer for 15-20 minutes. Remove from heat and carefully transfer to a glass bowl. Allow syrup to steep in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours. Strain mixture to discard juniper berry. Can be refrigerated for up to a month.

To make soft cocktail:

Combine yuzu juice, juniper berry syrup, orange blossom water and orange slices in a shaker with ice. Strain into tall glass. Add a splash of sparking water to top and garnish with orange peel to make it look pretty :) Drink up!
